Located on the pristine grounds of Saratoga National Golf Club off of Union Ave in Saratoga Springs, Prime at Saratoga National is the premiere dining and event destination in the Spa City especially during the busy Saratoga Race Course season.

Prime at Saratoga National is open to the public for lunch and dinner where guests can dine at the  New York style Steakhouse, "Prime" or outside for a casual experience. Saratoga National Weddings & Events also operates as an event venue hosting over 500 events annually.

 

Job Title: Sushi Chef

 

Job Purpose: The Prime at Saratoga Sushi Chef will consistently perform a variety of sushi preparation, and menu execution duties. This individual will prepare sushi for the restaurant and banquets events in addition to stocks, soups and sauces. In this role, the indvidual will work at the highest quality level while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.

 

Job Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with health, sanitation, liquor and safety
  • Purchase, slect, prepare fish and seafood for sushi preparations as well as training on menu items
  • Ensure all products are fresh and rotated
  • Conduct inventory of both food product and equipment on a regular basis
  • Assist Executive Chef and Banquet Chef with food requirements
  • Adhere to cooking methods, quality standards, kitchen rules, policies, and procedures

 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in a similar capacity
  • Familiar with food service equipment including knives, pots and pans, ovens, grills and slicer
  • Ability to perform physical activity to include lifting (50 lbs), bending, balancing, reaching, pushing and walking/standing for at least 8 hours
  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to work well in a team environment
